Why this happens
Upload forms cap how much storage each file can use, often at 500 KB, 1 MB or 2 MB. Phone cameras write photos at 3 MB to 12 MB, so an ordinary snapshot is well past most caps before you do anything to it.
Some forms cap the pixel width and height instead, or as well. A 4032 × 3024 photo can be refused even after you have compressed it, because the limit was never about megabytes.
The error message rarely says which rule you broke, which is why checking the actual numbers first saves time.
How Filnixa fixes it
Filnixa reads the file in your browser and shows the real size, pixel dimensions and format next to the limits you entered.
When something fails, the fix step resizes the image to your pixel limit, converts the format if the form demands one, then compresses in steps until the file is under your size cap. The proportions are kept and nothing is cropped.
The result is checked again against the same rules, so you can see it passes before you download it.
